What we do

  • Computers
  • Laptops
  • Network hardware
  • Licences
  • Configuration

Equipment gets bought in a hurry, on offer, on the shop's recommendation. Later it turns out it does not suit the work done on it, a licence is missing, or everything was set up on the personal account of an employee who has since left.

This is not an online shop. We do not sell hardware off a shelf — we choose it for the work, prepare it, and hand it over ready to use.

What we do

  • Advice on choosing for the work done on the machine, not for the specification on the label.
  • Sourcing computers, laptops and monitors, along with network and server hardware.
  • Configuration and setup: operating system, software, access, email and security settings.
  • Licences for operating systems and business software, held by the company rather than an individual.
  • Delivery and commissioning, with a record of who uses what.
  • A replacement plan, so the cost is visible in advance rather than when a device fails.

What you get

Equipment chosen for the work, ready on day one, and tracked on a single list that stays yours.

The specification follows
the work, not the reverse

A machine for bookkeeping, one for CAD and one for field work are three different devices, even where they look alike on paper. We ask first what will be done on it and how long it has to last.

More often than not we recommend the cheaper option. The money is usually short in the wrong place — a fast disk and enough memory change the working day more than a processor with a longer name.

Equipment arrives
ready to work

A device is not handed over in its box. The operating system, software, access, email and security settings are in place before delivery, so the person works on day one instead of configuring.

Settings are the same across devices as far as that is possible. It shortens every later support request, because nothing has to be guessed at.

Licences and records
stay with the company

Licences are held by the company, not on an employee's personal account. When someone leaves, the licence and the data stay where they belong.

A list of equipment showing who uses what and when it was bought is the basis for a replacement plan. Without one, hardware gets replaced when it stops — always at the worst moment.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell equipment, or only advise on it?

We source and deliver it, but as part of a service rather than as a shop. There is no catalogue or price list on the site, because equipment is chosen for the work it has to do rather than for what happens to be on offer.

Can we buy the equipment ourselves and have you set it up?

You can. In that case we propose a specification before you buy, and take over configuration, software, access and security settings after delivery. Advice before the purchase usually saves more than the sourcing does.

Whose name are the licences held in?

The company's, not an employee's personal account. It is a difference nobody notices until somebody leaves, and then it decides whether the licence and the data stay with you.

What happens to our existing equipment when we buy new?

First we inventory it and look at what is still worth using, what can be repurposed and what has to be replaced. From that comes a replacement plan by priority, so the cost is spread rather than arriving all at once.
